 | Star CL Hoerner Signs for 4 years Saturday, October 1st, 1966: Cincinnati fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Joe Hoerner won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 4-year extension at a pay rate of $165,000 per annum. Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Cincinnati officials had to keep Hoerner from jumping ship. Thus far this year Hoerner has picked up 18 saves. He has also compiled a 2-2 won-lost mark with a 1.76 ERA and in 41 innings fanned 32. |
