 | New York, Houston Agree to Swap Saturday, October 19th, 1974: The Yankees and Astros have been engaged in a little wheeling and dealing. They have just concluded a trade with 24-year-old starting pitcher Steve Rogers going to Houston in exchange for 26-year-old starting pitcher Al Santorini and 30-year-old left fielder Pat Kelly.
Since joining the league, Rogers has compiled an ERA of 3.74 with a career record of 21-37. He has 292 strikeouts in 522.1 innings and has held opponents to a .272 batting average.
Santorini has a career won-loss record of 117 wins and 96 losses with 1111 strikeouts in 1820.2 innings and a 2.94 ERA. |   |
