Tuesday, September 1st, 2009: Lancaster's Dobies Shuts out 66ers
At Lords Ballpark today Lancaster blitzed the Inland Empire 66ers 1-0 on a route-going gem by Andrew Dobies. He blanked them on a 3-hitter and had 1 strikeout in the contest.

So far this season, Dobies has a 8-13 won-lost record with no saves. He has made no relief appearances, logged 209 innings and fanned 138 batters while fashioning a 2.89 ERA and allowing the opposition a .235 batting average.
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009: Vandel Dominates, Whitewashes JetHawks
Geoff Vandel kept Lancaster hitters off balance all game long as the Lake Elsinore pitcher blanked the JetHawks 6-0. They managed to get 2 hits off Vandel, who struck out 1 and walked 1.

To date this year, Vandel shows a 9-11 record, 25 starts, 178 innings, 89 strikeouts and a 2.83 ERA.
Monday, August 10th, 2009: Hot Bat Wins CAL Player of the Week Honors
Anthony Rizzo is respected by most Lancaster JetHawks fans for his no-frills style of play. The 20-year-old first baseman went about his business with vigor last week to grab the California League Player of the Week honors.

He compiled a .500 average (13-26) with 2 home runs, 4 RBIs and 5 runs scored.

So far this season, Rizzo has recorded a .272 batting average with 118 hits, 9 home runs, 48 RBIs, 48 runs scored and a .323 OBP.
