It was a great day at the plate for Vincente Rincón of the Hickory Crawdads. He collected 5 hits in 5 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Greeneville Drive racked up the victory, topping the Crawdads by the score of 10-2.

Jason Blackey of the Greeneville Drive really zeroed in on Hickory hitters at Greeneville Grounds, blanking them 5-0 on 5 hits. Blackey struck out 6, and gave up no walks in defeating the Crawdads.
This season in 28 starts Jason Blackey has a record of 10-12 with 185 strikeouts in 202 innings and a 2.36 ERA.

 | Tuesday, August 18th, 2009: Colvin's Season Could be Over
Dealing with injuries is part of the game and now Ryan Colvin of the Drive knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Lexington Legends while throwing a pitch. Diagnosed as a torn back muscle, the Greeneville closer is expected to miss 4-5 months. Colvin was a little upset, but understands it comes with the territory. "Baseball can be a contact sport. You try to be careful, but no matter how careful you are, injuries happen."
In 2009 his season stats show Colvin has no saves with a 4-15 mark and 4.43 ERA.
