Happy times in New York (A) as the Yankees and star closer Mariano Rivera put the finishing touches on a $30,000,000 contract extension that will keep the 39-year-old in town 2 years longer.

The signing is great news for New York (A) because players of this caliber are hard to come by.

Rivera has totaled 531 saves in his career. In 912 games, he has a 70-55 won-lost mark, 2.47 ERA and 949 strikeouts in 1073.1 innings.
Friday, November 27th, 2009: Yankees, Veteran Jeter Agree to Terms
New York (A) received a bit of good news today as their shortstop Derek Jeter accepted a $15,000,000-a-year offer that will keep him in a Yankees uniform for 2 years.

Lifetime Jeter is hitting .311 with 2644 hits, 216 home runs, 1539 runs scored and 1045 RBIs.
Monday, November 23rd, 2009: New York (N) Swaps Antonini to New York (A) for Musick
24-year old minor league starting pitcher Mike Antonini and 18-year old minor league catcher Natsu Kishita will now be playing for the New York (A) Yankees and 23-year old minor league reliever John Smith and 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Wes Musick will be suiting up for the New York (N) Mets. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials.
