Monday, November 23rd, 2009: New York (N) Swaps Antonini to New York (A) for Musick
24-year old minor league starting pitcher Mike Antonini and 18-year old minor league catcher Natsu Kishita will now be playing for the New York (A) Yankees and 23-year old minor league reliever John Smith and 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Wes Musick will be suiting up for the New York (N) Mets. The trade was announced today at a press conference by club officials.



Monday, November 23rd, 2009: Mets, Astros Confirm Deal
Fans in New York (N) woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 28-year old starting pitcher John Maine, 25-year old minor league starting pitcher Robert Parnell, 22-year old minor league starting pitcher Tanner Scheppers and 22-year old second baseman Adrian Cardenas to the Houston Astros. In return, the Mets will receive 27-year old second baseman Rickie Weeks.



Weeks has a lifetime .268 average with 613 hits, 97 doubles, 28 triples, 81 home runs and 273 RBIs to date.
Monday, September 21st, 2009: Star of the Week Named in NL
Carlos Beltran of the New York (N) Mets culminated a sensational week of play by being named the National League Player of the Week.

He rocked the opposition with a .556 batting average, 15 hits in 27 at-bats, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs while scoring 9 times.

This season Beltran is hitting at a .323 pace with 35 home runs, 99 RBIs and has scored 103 times.
