Thursday, June 25th, 2009: Will Unhappy Crisp Be Traded?
Local media has been reporting that Boston's Coco Crisp could be on the move. However, neither team officials, nor the 29-year-old center fielder chose to comment when approached.
Sunday, May 24th, 2009: New York (N) Befuddled by Zambrano
In an almost effortless performance, Carlos Zambrano of the Red Sox shot down the Mets 2-0 on a 5-hit shutout.

His skipper said, "Carlos was just locating so well and using his pitches... not leaving anything over the plate."

Zambrano recorded 4 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing.

In the postgame press conference, the New York (N) manager said, "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game like he can and we couldn't get a key hit off him."

Checking out his stats for the season, Zambrano has notched 5 wins and 2 losses in 10 starts, 4.14 ERA and struck out 62 batters in 63 innings.
Thursday, April 30th, 2009: Boston's Beckett to Miss Season
Josh Beckett will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and stated the Boston starting pitcher could miss the remainder of the year. Beckett was injured while throwing a pitch in the Red Sox-Rays clash at Fenway Park II recently. Doctors said he has a torn labrum and would be out a minimum of 8 months.

So far in 2009 Beckett has compiled a 1-1 record with a 4.25 ERA.
