Monday, May 28th, 2012: AL Star of the Week Honored
There's nothing like being in the prime of your baseball career -- and playing like it. Just ask Kellen Kulbacki, the Boston right fielder, who swung a sweet bat all week to not only aid his team, but also pick up the American League Player of the Week honors.

Kulbacki piled up 17 hits in 34 at-bats, 3 home runs and 12 RBIs while hitting .500.

Kulbacki on the season is hitting .388 with 9 home runs. His stats include 40 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012: Boston Shuts out Blue Jays, Lowe Winner
Boston was pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard today as Derek Lowe blanked Toronto 6-0. He stopped them on 4 hits with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.

His skipper said, "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite. He was on top of his game in this one."

In 10 starts this year Lowe has fashioned a 6-1 record and a 2.36 ERA.
